Diane Strasz

Vice President & COO

Ms. Strasz, who oversees the day-to-day operations of Jones & Associates Communications, has more than 40 years experience in advertising, community and media relations, and marketing-creative development and management. She develops, writes and manages the production of the company’s marketing, community/media relations and advertising strategies and campaigns as well as all collateral materials (print, digital, social media and broadcast). She also provides strategic planning/programming, grants writing and staff management technical assistance, develops community relationships, plans/executes/promotes special events, and conducts seminars and workshops.

Prior to co-founding Jones & Associates Communications, Ms. Strasz worked as a Writer/Editor Consultant for a number of private, public, and community-based organizations. In management positions for Lillian Vernon Corp., (Copy Chief/Acting Creative Director) and Gimbels East, NY (Copy Chief), she developed, wrote/edited and oversaw the production of print and broadcast advertising, and special events and promotional campaigns, managed budgets of up to $1.7 million, and worked in cooperative programs with Jantzen, Owens Corning, Godiva, Waterford Crystal, Aer Lingus, Lancome, Yves St. Laurent, Levi’s, Estee Lauder, Jones New York, Liz Claiborne, U.S. Dept. of Energy, NASA, Ford Motor Company, ABC-TV, Fashion Institute of Technology and Rensselaer Polytech. She was also a Freelance Writer (print, radio and TV advertising/PR for national manufacturers, retailers), Chief Writer at Garfinckel’s, Copy Supervisor at Woodward & Lothrop (Washington, D.C.), and Writer at Winkelman’s and Crowley, Milner & Co. (Detroit, MI).

Ms. Strasz authored more than a dozen children’s books that were published for the Lillian Vernon Corporation.

She studied at Macomb County Community College, Wayne State University-Monteith College & College of Liberal Arts, and New York University.

Ms. Strasz served as a Commissioner for the Jersey City Planning Board of Adjustment (2004-2008), was a lector, Eucharistic minister and religious education teachers at Parish of the Resurrection/St. Peter’s Church, and is a member of the Parish Council, lector and Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
