Executive Assistant to the Vice President/COO

Ms. Gonzalez joined Jones & Associates Communications in March 2016. She is responsible for handling office communications and scheduling, for writing and posting social media, researching and assisting in the development of programs and projects, writing articles and press releases and ensuring distribution to media outlets.

Ms. Gonzalez has worked in marketing and multicultural public relations for more than 15 years. As the Business Development Manager for a New Jersey-based marketing firm, she traveled the country on behalf of clients, interfacing with major corporations, assisting in the development of strategic plans, and connecting nonprofit and community organizations to corporate America. Ms. Gonzalez became a leader of diversity marketing and served as liaison to national associations, addressing conferences, campaigns and corporate receptions, and developing and implementing promotion and exhibitions.

In 2010, Ms. Gonzalez became an independent administrative consultant primarily for projects focused on the healthcare industry and she established Mi Vida Marketing, based in Hudson County, New Jersey. In that capacity, she has designed outreach activities, research projects and communications and, being fluent in Spanish, has also provided translation services.

In 2008 Ms. Gonzalez founded and served as president of the Northern New Jersey chapter of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), an organization whose mission is to “advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, health and civil rights of the Hispanic population of the United States.” She spearheaded scholarship fundraisers for college-bound young people, who were from Hudson, Passaic and Essex counties. Ms. Gonzalez also served as a commissioner for a national women’s organization and as a board member on a civil-rights advisory board, headquartered in New York City.

Ms. Gonzalez earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration & Marketing from Montclair State University and is a certified Business Administration and Computerized Bookkeeping Professional.

Regarding her personal inspirations, her greatest influence was her mother. Gonzalez describes her mom as a guiding light and the person who created an environment of strength, wisdom, encouragement and humor. Sandra Gonzalez continues to incorporate this same formula into her own career.
